A packaged ERP is built for the average company in your sector. If your operation is average, it fits. If it is not — if you have a rule the package does not know, a flow it forces you to bend, a report it cannot produce, or you are paying for modules you never open — the package is running your company instead of the other way around. A custom ERP is the alternative: the system is built on your operation, module by module, in the order that hurts most.

ApexDev starts by mapping the operation before any screen: who does what, in what order, what the exceptions are that everyone knows by heart. That map is the first deliverable and it decides everything after — which module comes first, what integrates with what, and which data has to come over from the current system. Then the core module ships and gets used before the next one starts. Inventory before finance if stock is the pain; orders before inventory if orders are. Never the whole ERP at once.

Integration and migration are where custom ERPs succeed or fail, so they are scoped, not assumed: tax invoicing, bank feeds, payment terminals, the accountant's system, and the data living in the current ERP or spreadsheets. When we finish, the code is yours, your team is trained on it, and the maintenance agreement is separate and cancellable. And if a packaged ERP would fit ninety percent of your operation, we say so in the first conversation — custom is the right answer for the other cases, not for all of them.
